Matt Hasselbeck Choosed The second careers 2021
Matt Hasselbeck's 10-year run with the Seahawks has come to an end.

According to NFL Network and The (Nashville) Tennessean, he has agreed to a multi-year deal with the Titans.

Hasselbeck will likely be immediately installed as the starter, allowing first-round pick Jake Locker to sit and learn. The players already know each other after sharing Seattle in recent years where Locker just completed a four-year run with the Washington Huskies. Hasselbeck is also reunited with Titans GM Mike Reinfeldt, who previously served in the Seahawks' front office.

Hasselbeck, 35, is the most accomplished signal caller in Seattle history, taking the Seahawks to their only Super Bowl appearance after the 2005 season and earning three Pro Bowl trips for himself. But he's battled injuries lately, missing 13 starts over the past three years. He passed for 3,001 yards, 12 TDs and 17 INTs last season when the 7-9 Seahawks won the NFC West.

Still, his penultimate start was arguably the best of his career. Hasselbeck passed for 272 yards and four TDs in Seattle's wild-card upset of the Saints in January. Turns out that will be his last start for the home team at Qwest Field.

The Titans are expected to release former starting QB Vince Young on Thursday.
