How To Calculate School Participation Rate (APS)
As a guideline if the student data and population in developing appropriate educational profile has been the norm, we need to calculate the APS. If APS was> 100% we have to perform data validation. APS generally below 100% except in urban areas where it could APS> 100%. This is due to students coming from the village but go to school in the city while the student is still registered as residents of the village not a city where he went. APS alone we divide into three groups, namely: APS 7-12, 13-15 APS, and APS 16-18.

APS 7-12 1. count is (Number of Students SD & MI + the number of students ages 7-12 & SMP MTs age <13) X 100 and then divided by the population aged 7-12 years APS 2. count was 13-15 (SD & MI Number of Students aged> 12 + Number of Students SMP & MTs age 13-15 + Number of High School Students & Vocational & MA age <16) x 100 and then divided by the number of people aged 13-15 years. APS 16-18 3.count is (Number of Students SMP & MTs age> 15 + Number of High School Students & Vocational & MA age 16-18) x 100 and then we divide by the total population 16-18 years.
